Best Disney World Resort Pool for Toddlers: Ranked and Reviewed

March 20, 2025

Why Pool Quality Matters for Toddler Families

If you're doing Disney World with a toddler, pool time is not optional. It's a strategic rest period, a toddler energy release valve, and often the highlight of the day for your child.

Great pool = better trip. We've done pool research so you don't have to.

#1: Stormalong Bay at Beach Club Resort

There is no competition. Stormalong Bay is in a different tier from every other pool at Walt Disney World. Three acres, lazy river, sand-bottom zero-entry, 230-foot waterslide (38" height requirement), multiple pool zones, shipwreck structure with spray features.

This is a water park that happens to be a hotel pool. If pool quality is your primary resort selection criterion, Book. Beach. Club.

Toddler rating: 10/10

#2: Lava Pool at Polynesian Village Resort

Volcano waterfall, zero-entry section, separate quieter pool area for when you need less chaos. Well-maintained, well-staffed, beautiful setting. Our daughter used the zero-entry section daily across a 4-night stay.

The volcano waterslide has a height requirement that excludes most toddlers, but they don't care — the waterfall feature is endlessly interesting.

Toddler rating: 9/10

#3: Uzima Springs at Animal Kingdom Lodge

Excellent zero-entry pool with waterslide and separate kiddie play areas. The African-themed landscape around the pool is beautiful. Typically less crowded than pools at more central resorts.

Toddler rating: 9/10

#4: Silver Creek Springs at Wilderness Lodge

Heated, attractive, good waterslide, solid zero-entry area. The creek-to-pool theming detail is lovely. Well-maintained. A genuinely good pool that sometimes gets overlooked.

Toddler rating: 8.5/10

#5: Beach Pool at Grand Floridian

Large, well-appointed, zero-entry section. Beautiful setting with white sand and Victorian architecture backdrop. Elegant rather than thrilling. More suited to families who want a relaxing pool day than an active splash experience.

Toddler rating: 8/10

#6: Luna Park Pool at BoardWalk Inn

The clown slide is fun but the overall pool is smaller and less toddler-oriented than others on this list. BoardWalk guests can access Stormalong Bay at Beach Club — which is a significant advantage.

Toddler rating: 7/10

Our Recommendation

If pool quality is a top 3 priority for your trip, stay at Beach Club. It's not close.

If pool quality is important but you're also weighing location, dining, or other factors, Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge both deliver excellent pool experiences that won't disappoint.
