Our Take
There's one reason above all others to stay at Beach Club Resort: Stormalong Bay. The three-acre water park/pool complex is the best pool at Walt Disney World, possibly the best hotel pool our family has ever used, and worth every extra dollar if pool time is part of your family's vacation plan.
But Beach Club is more than just a pool. The walkability to EPCOT (5-7 minute walk) is the second major selling point. Walking out of EPCOT during evening peak and strolling back to your hotel room — instead of waiting for a bus — is an enormous quality-of-life upgrade with a toddler.
Stormalong Bay
Here's what you need to know: this is not a hotel pool. This is a 750,000-gallon water park with a lazy river, a 230-foot waterslide (kids must be 38 inches to ride, so check your toddler's height), sand-bottom entry areas, a shipwreck play structure with spray features, and multiple pool zones.
For a 3-year-old, this pool is absolutely perfect. Our son could have happily spent the entire trip here. The zero-entry sand bottom is unlike anything else on property — it genuinely feels like the beach.
Important: Stormalong Bay is shared between Beach Club and Yacht Club guests. It can get crowded. Arrive early or use it during park hours for best experience.
EPCOT Access
This is legitimately transformative for families who love the Food & Wine Festival, or who want to do EPCOT for an afternoon. Walking distance means: no bus wait, leave whenever you want, easy return for naps, pop back in the evening for fireworks.
Hollywood Studios is also accessible by Skyliner gondola — one stop away. So Beach Club effectively gives you convenient access to two parks.
Dining
Cape May Café has a seafood buffet dinner and character breakfast. The character breakfast (Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Minnie in beach attire) is a genuine hit for toddlers. Our son wept when Goofy had to move to the next table.
Beaches & Cream is the ice cream shop on property — iconic Kitchen Sink sundae, milkshakes, and nostalgia in abundance.
The Room
New England coastal theming — lots of light blues, whites, and navy. Charming and well-executed. Standard rooms are a comfortable size for a family of three. The resort overall has a pleasant, airy atmosphere without the enormous scale of Grand Floridian.
Our Honest Assessment
Beach Club should be on every toddler family's shortlist, particularly if: your child loves water, you're visiting EPCOT multiple days, or you want to do pool time daily without it feeling like a sacrifice.
The main trade-off: it's further from Magic Kingdom than the Monorail resorts, requiring a boat or bus.
